A year in the park

The Park in Pictures

Water & reflections

The river & the lake

The Thames runs the whole length of the park’s western edge, and within it lies a much-loved ornamental lake with its fountain and green bridge.

Borders, blossom & roses

Gardens in bloom

The old gardens of Pryor’s Bank, the formal beds, the urns and the spring blossom — a horticultural tradition tracing back to the botanic gardens of Fulham Palace.

Avenues & open ground

Trees & green walks

Veteran London planes, shaded avenues and open lawns — room to wander, to sit, and to let the meadow grass grow a little longer for the pollinators.

Courts, wheels & swings

Sport & play

The park is busy as well as beautiful — a skate park, ball courts and a playground that keep Fulham moving from morning to the last of the light.

People & volunteers

Park life & the Friends

The park is what we make it — our gardening volunteers, the walkers and picnickers, the photographers and families. This is the everyday life the Friends are here to look after.
